The Cave of Nerja was discovered by a group of local boys from Maro who were trying to catch bats in the area on 12 January 1959. They got in the cave through a well and they soon saw this beautiful natural setting. They cave has been opened to the public since 1960 and is the stage every year of the Festival of Dance and Music.
The Cave of Nerja is open all year round and our hotel can provide our guests with the tickets to visit this impressive natural monument.
